Shree Shankar Maharaj Khandarkar's Literature
1. Dnyaneshwari Bhavdarshan ( 2 volumes)
A number of authors from devotional cult (Warkari Sampraday) wrote interpretations on the majestic book of Dnyaneshwari. Since the meaning is given just below each couplet, (Ovi ) the student understands the meaning logically. Maharaj has discussed some couplets with more details so that, more light is thrown on the core meaning of couplets in Dnyaneshwari. Most importantly, with the help of lucid and exhaustive preface to Dnyaneshwari Bhavadarshan, written by Maharaj, it becomes easy for the reader to understand central meaning of each chapter.

2. Bhavarth Ekanathi Bhagawat (2 Volumes)
The discourse in the couplet form written by the greatest of Saints, Shri Ekanath Maharaj on the eleventh chapter of Bhagawat is known as Ekanathi Bhagawat. Khandarkar Maharaj wrote about the emotive content and meaning of Ekanathi Bhagawat. Apparently each couplet of Ekanath appears to be simple, but at a number of places when the couplet expounds principles, the reader gets puzzled. Maharaj has explained the principles in simple words. Since the couplet and the discussion of its meaning are written on the same page, there is no difficulty for the reader to understand secret meaning of the couplet. Especially, the Bhavarth Ekanathi Bhagawat of Maharaj contains the meaning with Sanskrit text of the original Shrimad Bhagawad (Ekadashaskndha).This facility is not available in any otter book of Bhagawat. Because of this, the intelligent reader understands the extent of the emotive meaning of Sanskrit Shlok and the respective couplet of Nath.

3. Shri Tukaram Maharaj Gathabhashya ( 2 Volumes)
The most popular book of Maharaj is Shri Tukaram Maharaj Gathabhashya. The poetic stanzas (Abhangas) of Tukaram are regarded as the Vedas of Maharashtra. Maharaj has extraordinary skill in explaining the hidden meaning of each line of a Stanza (Abhanga) and its relations with other stanzas. Other dignitaries have also written treatises on Gatha of Tukaram Maharaj, but there appear many discrepancies and inconsistencies in them. The discussion by Maharaj is exhaustive. Maharaj has discussed some stanzas (Abhanga) in more details. A number of scholars of Saint Literature in Maharashtra have profusely praised this treatise. Pages 1175
4. Shri Anubhavamrutabhashya
Anubhavamrut is a unique book of Motherly Dnyaneshwar (Dnyaneshwar Mauli). Most learned men too could not have been able to reach the bottom of the experience. But Maharaj has illustrated a number of facets of the beautiful, secret and the universal experiences of this book. Those who research the core meaning of the Vedanta like this book very much. The very terminology of this book is different. Maharaj has explained the terminology in very simple words and brought the experience within the reach of inner beings of the scholars.

5. Haripath Bhashya
This is a discourse on the first three stanzas (Abhangas) of Haripath of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. This is the first treatise written by Maharaj in the style of Shri Shankaracharya's discourse. This onward, Maharaj began to write more books. The language of Haripath is simple. Dnyandeva has interwoven many formulas succinctly in Haripath. Each line of this stanza is a formula of a thought. Maharaj has written critique on these stanzas in its true sense. This discussion of important formulas in the Vedanta, will certainly be instructive and helpful to the Keertankars and eloquent scholars who speak on these topics today.

6. Shri Dnyandevanche Pasaydan:
The last 9 stanzas of Pasaydan in Dnyaneshwari are really the 9 dreams of a Super human being (Dnyaneshwar) who meditated for wellbeing of the entire universe. Maharaj in this small book has given guidelines for realizing this dreamland into reality in the present day situation of political, social and individual life of the society. Everybody desires to have this Pasayadan .

7. Sarth Eakanathi Bharude
In this book Maharaj has discussed the ninety bharudas of Sant Eknath Maharaj. Although apparently these Bharudas (poetic drama) consist of dialogues between men and women, episodes, contemporary personalities and situations, they are imbued with basic philosophy and principles. The meaning of these bharuds is not unfolded unless the basic philosophical meaning is understood. Maharaj has unfolded the meaning of similes in very simple words. Majaraj has presented in this book the treasure of teachings of the Vedanta, morality, religion, devotion, and practice in life in a very simple, easy, and straightforward style.

8. Namdev Charitra Vivechan
The birthplace of Sant Namadev Maharaj is Narasi Bamani, Taluka and District Hingoli. But a number of scholars do not agree with this. However, Maharaj has proved that the birth place of Namdev is Narasi Bamani with the help of only the internal evidence available from the Stanzas (Abhangas) of Namedev Maharaj. This small booklet proves the high degree of research competence of Maharaj.
